Angus has been here for a visit since last Tuesday but he has gone home this afternoon so I have the “My Best Friend Was Here But Now He Has Gone Again” blues. It was great to see him in person again, it has been a while since the last time I was up in Scotland to visit him as well. Hopefully we can meet more often in future. The good news of course in this digital age is that we can do all sorts of social stuff ‘together’ over the internet using VOIP and the like.

One thing we did while he was here was play some head-to-head Madden NFL (which we can play when he gets home since we both have it now) and his Dolphins beat my Browns 3 games to 2. My games PC is a bit temperamental though and several matches were interrupted before we could complete them by crashes and game freezing. Angus insists I have some sort of switch for causing this intentionally when I am losing :p (I don’t!)

This was the best birthday I have had for several years thanks to the personal visit from Angus and a great night out with my friends over in Midsomer Norton. Now that Angus is away home though I have run out of excuses to be getting on with things so nose back to the grindstone before the winter solstice break
