Goodbye to my little buddy, Calvin :(
Sadly my pet rat, Calvin, passed away yesterday. He appears to have died in his sleep peacefully and I did think he was sleeping off a really hot day here at first. He was quite old for a rat, over 3 years old I think so he did well. He had been ill for a couple of weeks and really hadn’t been himself after a recent visit to the vet. It is strange how such a small creature can leave such a large hole in one’s life but he was my daily companion and always made me happy - I will miss him lots.
My other little friend, Arthur the white mouse, is still with us and he is great fun to watch but not as affectionate and doesn’t like to be handled so we have a more distant relationship. At this point in time I am not sure what is next for me on the pet front, time will tell.
