More Paypal shennanigans
I have been rather busy lately as my Mum is very ill again but I will take a few minutes to give a brief update on the Paypal debacle.
After 62 minutes of them fobbing me off on the phone I finally got an address for their complaints department. The upshot of the phonecall was that their agreement allows them to take the money out of your account even if you cancel the transaction(!) and that no-one in their organisation has any discretionary powers to resolve customer issues - they can only follow orders and what the system says, to the letter.
Add to this that eBay made it a rule a while back that you must accept paypal for selling and they have a wonderful little monopolised scam running now where they get money several times for each transaction.
Oh well - a letter to the complaints people and more phone calls from their debt chasers in the meantime I suppose…
